Float down in the world famous McKenzie river and fish from an

original wooden McKenzie Drift Boat. This boat will get you to

fishing holes where most boats will not.

Bert's Guide Service LLC offers half day, full day and evening trips to combine top-notch (fly-) fishing with great scenery January through December. Fishing for (red side-) rainbow and cutthroat trout and mountain whitefish is easy enough for the beginner, yet challenging enough for the seasoned veteran. Boys and girls, men and women of all ages are joining the ranks of fly fishermen. No matter what your skill level is, fly fishing for trout can be highly rewarding. These beautiful fish have an abundant food source due to the salmon runs in spring and autumn, with big summertime hatches of river insects, they are excellent fighting fish and have gorgeous coloring. Your guides knowledge of casting and entomology tributes to your ability to catch more fish while their knowledge of the river will make your trip a great fishing experience.

Groups can be accommodated in several boats, meeting up for lunch, including a fish fry along the river. The group lunch gives you the opportunity to relax and exchange fish stories of the mornings catch. We have anglers from all over the world, returning to the McKenzie every year. The changing scenery, wildlife, fishing, and friendly skilled guides will make your trip on the McKenzie a day to

remember.

Riverside lodging is provided by the McKenzie River Inn Bed &

Breakfast Cabins (www.mckenzieriverinn.com) on the banks of the

McKenzie River in the heart of the Cascade Mountains: -You will not have to travel to the fishing spots.

Guided Trips

McKENZIE RIVER Single day (Fly-) Fishing trips:

Full day trips $360/day*
2 guests/ drift boat and includes lunch sack. Call or e-mail for availability

       January through December

        Half day $240.00*
        2 guests/ drift boat. Call or e-mail for availability January through December.

        Evening trips $195.00*
        2 guests/ drift boat. Call or e-mail for availability April 25th through October 31st.

        (Fly-) Fishing full day trips on the Upper McKenzie 1 guest/ drift boat and includes

lunch sack $395/ person. Call or e-mail for availability April 25th through October 1st.

*Includes rods and flies. Licenses (available at local stores) and harvest tags are not included, and are

the responsibility of the customer. Wading gear is not provided, but is optional at an extra charge.

Sunscreen (polarized-) sunglasses, camera, wading staff, hats, rain gear, etc. are highly

recommended!

        Rafting
        4-6 persons per raft: -1/2 day $59.00, full day $89.00 per person and incl. lunch

Scenic float trips

from $190.00 (for two persons on the lower section of the upper McKenzie in

a drift boat to $510.00 for six persons in a (cata-)raft. incl. lunch.

Booking Policy:

Reservations: Tentative reservations through e-mail/phone or letter requesting space on a particular date are accepted. It takes a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. Cancellations: You are financially responsible for a reservation pre-trip deposit. The deposit is claimed and forfeited on cancellations, including no shows, to the guide for all float or walk-in trips. Solicitation of guide service is deemed consent to these stipulations. No float dates will be established without payment. Final Payment: Final payment is due 21 days prior to your scheduled launch date.

Non-Performance: We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to poor weather, unsafe river conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. If cancelled, we will refund in full or apply your deposit /payment to another mutually agreed upon trip date.
